Why is the tree there?

It lets you know how “fresh” the information is.

ilivehere.info is an online portal to youth resources and opportunities, allowing youth and adults to contribute to, access & update available resources by zip code.

ilivehere.info is built with 2.0 thinking and technology. Resource Providers will be able to update their public domain information in no less than 10 minutes. We encourage resource providers to update their information regularly so youth have the most accurate and fresh information.

ilivehere.info will guarantee that youth have access to the most accurate and freshest data. We are using a tree icon to indicate how recently the resource has gone online to update their data. As the information gets older and less fresh, so does the tree.

The responsibility for updating the resource information on ilivehere.info lies with the resources themselves. Resource Providers are given direct access to their resource information to make changes and check its accuracy. A tree that is dying or dead means that the resource has not checked their data.
